In light of the recent Byron Report it is important that parents and carers are aware of e-safety. Click on the e-safety icon for information about staying safe online - this is a resource for both parents and students.

We take e-Safety very seriously with students and staff at Westwood Academy - and we're also keen to offer as much support as possible to parents.

We cover e-Safety as part of our curriculum, with units regarding e-safety in Year 7, Year 9 and Year 10 using a broad range of materials. Topics include social networking, chatrooms, online predators, being aware, safe usage, websites and cyber-bullying.

Naace ICT Mark

The Westwood Academy is the only school in Coventry to be ICT Mark Accredited for the second time. The ICT Mark is a nationally recognised accreditation scheme which gives schools recognition for their achievements in reaching a standard of maturity in their use of technology.
